We love how much power and solidarity all the professional athletes have showed over the last couple of days. They stood for what they believed and showed the world that they are listening and that they do pay attention. As much as we love that we get to have some bets for you tonight, we are fully aware there is much to be done beyond sports.

The Colorado Avalanche have been marred by injury this round and it shows on the defensive end. The Stars have been putting in goals left and right since the Calgary series. However, even with the injuries, the Avs were able to collect consecutive days of rest that should aid them more than the Stars. We expect them to build off their one win and tie the series up at 2 game a piece. Colorado has entirely too much talent and depth to let injury be an excuse to lay down and forfeit the playoffs at this point in time. As long as their offense can support their defense a little more, the likes of Makar, MacKinnon, Landeskog, and Rantanen should be able to keep the Avs tight with the Stars.

We love the Islanders in game twos of back-to-backs, especially against teams like the Flyers, who struggle in this circumstance. Similar teams to the Flyers, based on goal differential, in the 2nd game of a back-to-back went 641-1001 dating back to 2011; that is a 39% win rate. Also, the Islanders have pretty much shut down the Flyers offensive talent; Konecny and Giroux still have not scored a goal in the playoffs. Varlamov is on fire and the top two lines of NY have been able to get the job done against a young and inexperienced Flyers defense. Carter Hart is doing everything he can to save the series for Philly. If you look at yesterday's game, all three goals against Hart were generated by weak defense between the dots and the crease and a lack of consideration to players with the puck behind the goal line. If the Islanders take the series, we will not be surprised.
